The Antique Rose Emporium has long been known for extensive display gardens, varied plant selection and knowledgeable staff.

HISTORY

The Antique Rose Emporium’s display gardens were begun in 1984. Owner, Mike Shoup, wanted to showcase old garden roses in new ways. His vision revolved around using the roses in gardens filled with herbs, natives, perennials and varied other plants, rather than the fussy rose gardens that were the norm. 

These Texas-tough survivors were rescued from old ‘home places,’ cemeteries and road sides, and brought back into commerce.  

Since its inception, The Antique Rose Emporium has grown to include eight acres of landscaped gardens with gift shops, a picnic area and a lovely wedding venue.

The Antique Rose Emporium was designated a Hall of Fame Garden in 2012 by the Great Rosarians of the World.  

The GROW Award is presented annually to a rosarian who has made remarkable contributions to the rose industry.
